I have a chance to buy a '99 TC33D. Industrial Tires, Supersteer, 2 rear hydraulic hookups, rear work light, new front tires and battery, 726 hours, looks pretty clean and sound. Warranty is basically done, 3 months left on powertrain. It is at a dealer. He is asking $13,000, we have negotiated it down to $12,000. He has a "New" old blue loader for it at $3,450. Total is $15,450. At a different dealer, I can get a new TC33D for $13,955 sans supersteer, $900 for supersteer, $3,200 for loader. Total is $18,055. That is a difference of $2,605. I sure do like that new blue, but money talks. What does anyone think?

I wouldn't mind buying the used one, but at that price difference, I'd have to go for the new one.

Is the warranty on the new model worth $2600? Maybe not today but if anything goes wrong you'll kick yourself for buying the used model.

Find out what two years of extended warranty would cost and deduct that from the price of the new tractor first. Next, divide 726 hr into the remaining dollars. My guess is that you will find the new tractor will cost you less than $2 per hr and you will have two years of warranty. That seems like a bargain in my book. One wonders why the machine has new front tires. Does the new tractor price include the extras on the old machine--hydraulic hookups ($550) and rear work light ($?)? Is your price for the new one the best possible (have you negotiated it down)?
