used truck scales

Anyone know if there is a market for used truck scales? My church just bought a lot, complete with some old scales that could probably weight a tractor trailor. Don't know if they work, but they are large. I was thinking they would make a nice bridge but don't know what you would need to move them. So far we have had one offer to remove them in exchange for the metal.

With the high price for scrap metal right now (I just got 10 cents a pound for a truckload) your church ought to at least be able to make a small profit selling the metal and should not have to give it away free.

maybe I can move them with my tractor to make a bridge across my creek

depending on the type of scales, you may be able to find a local scale repair outfit (ie. Toledo scales) to purchase the weigh cells and stack (if hydraulic).
