I just picked up a used "Performance Built" (Lowes) 13 ton wood splitter.
No wear on it, it's been sitting in the back of a guys workshop for years, unused (he bought it as a backup)(he said).
Fluids are as clean as new. Started right up, ram actuates and returns.
Drove it home, put in a 6" piece of ash... ram stops cold. Motor loads up a little but it barely makes a dent in the wood.
Is it possible that something simple like a pressure relief valve is acting up?
