I found a used woods bh90x backhoe attachment off a dk45. The guy is asking $5,500. for it. I assume all the hardware is included.
How's this price?
How the heck would I transport a backhoe attachment? The seller is 140 miles away.

When I bought my BH750-3 I transported it on my trailer. The previous owner loaded it onto my trailer with his tractor. I used many 4x4's and 6x6's to set it on and make it stable then chained it down. Used my loader to get it off once home. I'm guessing you have a trailer. If not surely you must know someone who does. If in good shape the price isn't too bad. I think the bh90 runs between 8-9K new.
Also not sure if the sub fame for the DK45 and 40 are the same but should be easy to adapt.

I recently paid $4150 for a used BH90-X no tractor-side subframe nor tumb. I felt like I got a good deal. I'd be wary that the subframe will be easily adaptable though.
I transported 2hrs on an equipment trailer. Bring LOTS of chains and binders. (like 8 to be safe)
For storage reasons I has to unload like this:

May just want to see if WOODS has a subframe and order a new one for it

Also might want to think about flushing the hydraulic fluid. (I made a thread about this titled: "how should I flush hydraulic fluid")

Whats involved in removing all the subframe hardware from one tractor and installing it on another?

Its a huge PITA. You need to remove the rear tires and then unbolt everything. It can be done without removing the rear tires, but it is easier to do so. I paid $4000 for a Kubota BH90 without the subframe. Check the cylinder rods for rust. Mine were rusted and it cost a pretty penny to replace them.

Thanks for the heads up. I might rethink this. In this case ,maybe paying more, and getting new might be the way to go.

Why do you need to remove the tires? My Kioti BH uses a front catch that mounts on the frame and a rear pin assembly that takes place of the hitch bar holder. Might Woods be that different?

New you're looking at more like 10-12k I think. I would've paid $5500. They are hard to come by used.
