First let me say thank you to all of the previous posters in the Build It Yourself forum. It is a wealth of great information and ideas.
I would like to share with you some of the things I have designed and added to my tractor. My bucket forks serve many uses from carrying logs to digging out stone in my fields. The fork recievers are welded in the bucket and when I am not useing the forks, a plug is inserted to keep out dirt. I can attach a platform to the forks to give me alot more bucket capacity for things like firewood. The platform also works very well as a work area when the bucket is 3' off the ground and as stageing on higher projects. It is clear from the pictures how the forks attach to the bucket and how the platform attaches to the forks. I also added a backboard to the top of the bucket for more capacity on lighter loads.
Anyone else have more useful ideas ?

Thanks

Bob

No ideas because I'm not handy that way. Love your fork setup though, and look forward to your thread taking off with real responses.

Bob,

Those modifications are neat. I especially like the flexibility and the capability to extend the bucket size when handling light loads.

The only "improvement" I thought of was maybe leaving the back end of the receiver square tubing open when welding it to the bucket so that dirt could be pushed out through the back.

thanks Chris for those kind words on my very first post on TBN.

That was a good suggesting Ted. I havent had a problem with dirt buildup in the reciever yet. The plugs work pretty good at keeping things clean and a garden hose will clean the receiver out real good.

Yea Mike, I have never been too inspired with 3pth splitters ... for a number of reasons. Using my splitter and throwing the wood directly into my tractor bucket always seemed to make the most sense ...

Bob - Regarding your splitter, it looks like you have some mods there too. Can we see some pictures of it. I am interested in making a catch "tray" for mine and yours looks to have something there.
Thanks.

Here ya go Ice Man. Nothing too elaborate but it works great. I used red oak for the tray but after many cords of splitting wood I Did have one break ... I will replace it someday when I can find the time.
