I know this may be confusing but I have tried to make it as clear as I can.

When I bought my used 4025 tractor a few years ago they included a post hole digger. Well yesterday I tried to connect it to my tractor for the first time. The PHD needs a Cat 0 pin. The existing top link pin is actually a stepped pin going from Cat 1 to cat 0 but the Cat 0 part is not long enough. The top link pin will not go through far enough for the latch pin hole to be usable because the Cat 1 shoulder part of the pin hits the PHD connection and stops it short. I have looked for Cat 1 to Cat 0 stepped pins and cannot find them.

Do I need to buy a Cat 1 to Cat 0 bushing and then use a long Cat 0 pin? Or do they make long stepped pins that go from Cat 1 to Cat 0 and I'm just not good enough at Googling to find it?

I'm hoping someone on the forum had this problem and found a solution and won't mind sharing it with me.

Thanks.

I don't know the particulars, or about a stepped pin, but a Cat 1 to Cat 0 bushing and a long Cat 0 pin should work.

I had to buy a new top link for my 4025. I wound up getting a category 2 top link for the tractor, and got a category 1 bushing for the implement.
I believe your line of thinking will work.
