I know an atv snowblade is pretty light duty but I have a next to new 60" blade off my atv that is just sitting and i would like to put a blade on my tractor FEL for the tilt side to side to make plowing my paved driveway a little faster. My tractor is a 2320 so its roughly 1000lbs more then my atv was. I am thinking it should do the job just fine, was just wondering what others had for input before i start this project.

my plow is the blade one pictured-

Afternoon Purpony,
I think the light duty blade will be fine as long as you remember your using a piece of equipment thats light duty !!! Your tractor is heavier with more power and I dont think it would be a stretch to bend it ! With that in mind, the proper hookup from the blade to the QA is important. Maybe some added bracing will provide some extra strength in the right
places ! Good Luck and keep us posted ! :)

BTW, there are a bunch of guys on here that are really great fabricators, if you could provide some additional photos of the backside of the blade and tractor Im sure they could make some great reccomendations !

Just be carefull... that may become a pretzle pretty fast if you try to put much hp behind it and it finds a particularly stout spot.

I have an old 48" blade I was thinking of using off my quad. I bought a rear blade instead of hasseling with the fab.

I think the plow blade would work out fine. You might find some twisting stress if you are only pushing on one side or the other, but if you are pushing snow across the full blade, I am sure it will work out fine (especially with the trip springs)

Regardless of how heavy the machine (or truck), momentum often does much of the work. I have driven highway plows where 45,000 lbs of truck and plow will pretty much over power most drifts. But that same truck at low speeds on wet deep snow is sitting on top of ice will spin the dual'ies from a slow start.

Keep the momentum up and avoid trying to muscle through the tough spots and I bet you will be fine.

Be sure to share the fab mounting picks

I didnt get a chace to get the hydraulic side to side tilt done yet, looks like that will be a spting project. Overall though the plow setup works great. Only downside (which i knew before i even started) is the plow is only 52" wide.... but i solved that the other day by purchasing a new 72". It will bolt directly to the frame i have which again is a modded set of atv push tubes. I also plan on welding a could horizontal angle iron pieces on the back side o the plow to make it stronger. Nice thing about this blade though compared to using a truck plow is, its super lightweigh so in the warm months i can move it around my myself and store it anywhere, compared to a 600lb plow.

the green front frame i made is also used for this-

here is the frame that i made for my tractor front end loader. It has the same factory quick detatch as the bucket. Its an all in one frame that gives me a front mounted quick 3 point hitch, front forks, and a snowplow.

with the 3point hitch i can lift my rear mount mower for cleaning, sharpening blades, and moving for storage.

still got to paint the forks- still looking for a 36" pair as well.

That looks absolutely fantastic. What great versatility--it is nicely utilitarian and practical in design and function.
