Using bush hog with Quick Hitch

I bought a quick, the hitch top link on the quick hitch moves up and down, I have a land pride rcr1860 bush hog with the top link that swings. I am having issues adjusting the top link. Do I need a bushing on the top link also? Any help setting this up would be appreciated. I am kinda new to tractors. When I hook the top link of the bush hog to the quick hitch in the same setting as I use on my box blade, the pin on the swivel top link wants to roll out of the quick hitch.

You may have to use the top link adapter instead of the hook on the quick hitch.

The bush hog has one similar to the that one just not Y shaped. It is #2 on page 8 of this link of the parts break down.

That's what I thought you had. My BushHog brand rotary cutter has a different setup. If you could post a picture, we could get a better idea of your issue with the quick hitch.
