Rear Blade Using rear blade w/ gauge wheel

For the guys that have back blades w/ a gauge wheel, do you leave the top link of the 3pt attached or let the blade float without it?

I float the blade but also have the top link attached to level the blade. Adjusts the bite. Make sense?
