I want to do some pulling with the tractor, and I understand the safe way to do it is from a drawbar mounted under the rear axle. Thing is, the operator's manual talks about adjustments, and hooking up implements to the drawbar, but not how to hook the drawbar up to the tractor. I'd rather not be in the middle of pulling something and found out that I hooked it up wrong. I found what I suspect is a pin for the drawbar, but I'm not sure. I've attached a pic showing the drawbar and the pin. Can someone describe how to hook it up or show a picture?

Forgot to mention that this is for a Ford/NewHolland 3230, I believe from the early-mid 90's.

Thanks
Keith

KTurner, Mornin'.
On the rear end diff, sorrounding the PTO shaft, there should be a plate mounted. There should be a slot approx 1"x12" in the bottom of the plate. The slot is where the draw bar is inserted. Under the rear diff there should be a "box" type unit where the end of the draw bar slides into. A 3/4" pin inserts into the "box" thru the draw bar and is secured using a lynch pin. I found these pics on another forum, the ntractorclub.com. Great site. Lots of valuable info like this site has. For total clarity, go to their site and search swinging drawbar. Hope this helps. Dave
