Finally got it all in order. Had to extend the three point connections out about a foot and get a longer driveshaft. The first extensions didn't hold up. The 1/4 inch steel bent all to heck and I ended up with another blown Ujoint. After cutting out the old ones and welding in channel steel extensions, finding Ujoints with actual bearings in them (the Italy made drive shaft I bought had Ujoints without actual bearings in them), and heating and hammering the driveshaft yoke back into alignment so the new Ujoint would fit again, it's working fine now. As it should be, since I've put about 2 1/2 days and a couple hundred bucks in steel and a driveshaft and Ujoints into it. Did the wifes and neighbors gardens. The darn thing actually tills so deep it finds rocks the Troybilts been missing for years. It's a long post, but it's been a long week.

you wouldn't happen to have pics by chance of what you did.

i am having a heck of a time getting my iseki tiller attached to my yanmar. there is not enough room to attach a pto shaft. thought about making longer "arms" for the lower 3 pt links to attach to then i could get a longer pto shaft made. i have enclosed pics of my tiller. any help would be appreciated as far as pics thanks dave

Seems to me a Harbor Freight Quick Hitch would space the tiller back a few inches farther, if it hits the tires.

And you need the special two-piece upper link so it lifts straight up, instead of curling into the tires as it rises. I put a photo of one in this post

and that whole thread is full of other people's good pictures.

Aside from the QH to space the tiller away from the tractor, a pto slip clutch or simple shaft extender might lengthen a too-short driveline.

This might help: Here's an old ebay auction with some photos showing how an Iseki tiller fits an Iseki tractor.

Here's what flusher offered on another tiller thread. He used Massey Ferguson lower arms to project the tiller away from the tires.
He wrote:
"I have a Yanmar RS-1200 rototiller that I use with my Kubota B7510HST (21 hp engine, 17 hp pto). It came with a 3pt setup so I can't help you with mods to your 2pt rig. Maybe the photos will help you to come up with an easy conversion.

"I could not find a shear pin anywhere on the tiller and the male pto connection on the tiller is splined. So I had to get a slip clutch and a shaft extension to keep the clutch from rubbing on the tiller sheet metal.

"The pto shaft that came with the tiller had bad U-joints, so I bought a new one from TSC and cut it to fit.

"The lower lift arms on the b7510 are only 26" long so I had to use the longer 35" arms from my MF-135 to get enough room for the pto shaft, etc."

what i did after some thinking was order longer lift arms.. mine were 27.5 inches i ordered 32 inch ones and some quick changes so it should give me some room to work with.. the problem isnt a to short driveline its no room for a shaft to fit.. literally have 8-9 inches to work with.. add a couple u-joints and there is no room for a shaft at all. so hopefulley this works.. need to find that 2 piece upper link any suggestions on where to pick one up?

Sorry, no. Maybe if the tiller is spaced back far enough with those longer arms, the present top link (or simply a longer one) will work.

After watching others struggle with these problems on here, I waited until a nearby gray-market seller had a Yanmar RS1400 tiller, complete with the special top link. This is the exact model tiller that was sold with YM2000 in Japan.

Even then, the driveshaft that he swore was the correct one, was too short. I had to get a pto extender that slips over the tractor's pto. (A slip clutch would have also worked to extend it). My driveshaft mis-match might be because the previous owner of my tractor put on longer arms, after he put on oversize tires. Or possibly my Americanized version of YM2000 (YM240) came with longer arms.

i was looking on hoyes website.. the have a 18 spline to 6 spline adapter..
might get that to stick on the tiller, then i can pick up a normal pto shaft which i will have to cut down big time. so i am hoping the extra 5-7 inches i gain with longer arms and quick hitch will give me enough room for a shaft.

Surplus Center Item Detail
do you think this shaft would work???

"i was looking on hoyes website.. they have a 18 spline to 6 spline adapter.."

Double check the number of splines on your tiller input shaft. I counted 16 splines on my RS1202. You may very well have 18 splines but it's worth a double check. I remember looking all over the net including ebay for a 16 spline adapter but couldn't find one so I welded on a 1-1/8"x1-3/8" adapter (after reaming out the 1-1/8" splined end slightly so it would fit over the tiller input shaft).

i actually brought the 1/2 shaft back that connects to the tiller and it is 18 splines.. just ordered that adapter from hoye. so just waiting for longer arms, quick hitch, this adapter then when i get down to my property in a couple weeks will get everything measured and look for a pto shaft

update... got the tiller working used it for a while.. still have some adjustments to figure out as far as the top link. I picked up a longer top link but it seems to long. gonna have to switch back to the shorter top link i think, as the pto shaft would come apart if i raised the tiller to high. so gonna have to wait another couple weeks to fart around with the settings as far as angles, depth, etc.. thanks all for comments
