I was plowing out from under the latest snowstorm. Only got about six inches, but at 30 degrees it was by far the wettest, heaviest snow we've had in several years. The first two passes down the road went okay, but for the last pass I have to back down the hill with the blade angled all the way in order to heave the snow clear of the road. The problem was, the two foot deep pile of snow was so incredibly heavy poor Clementine was unable to track straight, and the front end kept sliding to the left.
Just as I was pondering how to handle this, two very tired cross country skiers stumbled down the logging trail looking very lost. They asked how to get back to the Trapp Family Lodge. Rather than give them directions, I asked if they wanted a ride to the trail. Gratefully, they sat in my bucket and with the extra weight up front I was able to shove that last row of slush/snow out of the road! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
End result: Two very grateful skiers and one very happy property owner.
