V2203

Hi. Just wondering if anyone can help me out with some information on the different types of Kubota engines. I'm from Australia and own a 1998 Japanese built Hanta asphalt paver. The owners manual states it has a V2203 engine and aswell as this the engine number is marked on the block and starts with V2203-. My problem is I have just pulled out a leaking water pump and noticed that the water pump I have is the small 4 bolt version not the larger 15 bolt type normally associated with V2203. I am trying to work out if I do actually have a V2203. I know of at least two other machines that are exactly the same as mine stating the same engine. Is the a manufacturing error or is there a certain older type of the V2203 that has this type of pump? Thanks Ben
