Value of a John Deere 111 Garden Tractor

Need some help figuring out the value of a 1974 Model 111 Garden Tractor. It is in excellent shape. It is in an estate and a good friend is disposing of this. Thanks everyone!

Probably in the 300-500 dollar range, depending on shape.
Being as it is an estate, my opinion would be to liquidate it quickly, which may mean go with the lower value. To get a higher value, list it on E-bay or similar.

I don't think it is a collectors dream, such as the 110 (my '68 brought $1400).

They are going to ask $450. It sits in the Quad City area, Home of John Deere. It is in very good condition, but it still is old and not a collectible. If I were in the market for a smaller mowing lawn tractor, I would purchase it. The farmer who owned it was very fussy about oil changes and waxing his tractors. Thanks again.

Are you sure it is a JD 1974 model 111? I do not believe JD made a garden tractor with that model number in 1974. I think it is probably a 110 or 112 model. Take another look.

There was a Deere 111.

That is not a 1974 model as he specifies in his post. The tractor in your photo is much newer.

According to This page of John Deere's Web Site , the 111 model lawn tractor was introduced in 1979.
