value of used CUT

When I first started looking into getting a CUT, I heard that they retain their value pretty well, much better than cars for example. Is there a rule of thumb for determining the value of a used CUT? Is there anything out there like the Kelly Blue Book?

I checked the value of my 2000 TC29D on the machinery link and it came back with $14,262, which is about what I paid for it new (I don't remember the exact price right now, but it's very close to that). Who knows if it would really sell for that.

I expect that is what you'd have to pay for a used tractor if you were to go shopping for one. I looked at used when I was buying and found that to save any serious money over new that I'd have to get something that was 30 years old.

I just checked my tractor's value, too, and the figure listed is very close to what I paid for mine. But you're probably correct in thinking that isn't what we'd really be able to get if we tried to sell 'em.

Still, I know that I've never owned a car that has retained value like that /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. So it is nice to see...

When checking on what my Kubota may be worth before buying it, I used the same site that hwp posted.

I've heard that CUT's are the second best machinery type investment a person can make. #1 would be a Harley Davidson.
