Valve cover removal

I need to change the oil screen in the valve cover of my TC55DA. Does anyone know how to get clearance between the bottom of the fuel resevoir and the top of the valve cover studs to get the valve cover to slid off.

On my Kubota, I had to loosen all the bolts holding the fuel tank. I pulled it up 1 inch and wedged it in place..I did not want to remove all the bolts, but managed to slip the Vc off to the front. My engine was very clean inside for 750 hours, and this project took at least 2 hours with combination wrenches.
