I am trying to put a detent kit on one of the spools of my Baileynet valve. below is the link to the only documentation I have. When I remove the cover off the back side of the spool there is a big screw holding the spring. Do I need to compress that spring before I can get the screw loose?

No link...Not that familiar with Baily's valve yet.

I just noticed this link does not point out the spring return in any of the diagrams. Bailey sent me a PDF that did include a parts list. I will try picking out that page and post it later. The whole thing is too big to post here.

Let's see if this works. Here is the added page that Bailey sent me. I am trying to get screw 79.09.04 off. This is one of those large slotted screws about 4x larger than your screw driver. I was wondering if I need to compress the spring 79.09.03 in order to get the screw loose. The detent kit consist of a new cap and screw.

It keeps the valve from returning to neutral. I will be running a post driver off the third spool so I need it to stay open. The other option is to use a bungee cord to hold the valve open but for $20 I though it would be easier to go this route. If I ever want it to spring center again I can replace the spring.
