Hi guys i am looking for a good used 1 row transplanter to plant a few thousand tomato plants the new ones are pricey 2000 or so dollers anyone have a source or idea were to get one at a good price thanks Art

I don't know what part of the country you are in but Tobacco transplanter seems to come up as a suggested solution pretty often.
If it ends up being manual labor a hand post-hole digger works pretty quickly to make a hole. I don't think i would want to do more than a few hundred that way though unless you have lots of helping hands.

I don't know where you are but if you're near Waco, TX I have a good 2 row Holland pull type I'll sell or trade; would be easy to mount one row on a 3pt adapter. If you'll ck out the Holland website you'll see what I mean. The planters are each separate units & they're mounted on the type mount you desire. Check out Holland website (google for addy); I'd like to get bout 750 cash or trade for something of similar value. My direct email addy is lew at lewslittlefarm dot com if anyone's interested. I can send pix; it's not pretty but worked great the one time I used it a couple of years ago (my interests are different now)
