Have about 8 gallons of used vegetable oil. You know what I'm thinking in the new holland tc40. Putting it through a filter of some sort and using it up while I split wood one afternoon. I figure I would burn it up in a afternoon of work so why not. Any concerns. May need a new fuel filter but any other concerns.

i'm not up to date on my tractor specs, but is there something about this engine specifically designed to run on vegetable oil? grease cars, as they are often called, that run on used cooking oil have to have modifications to run on that as a fuel, most notably it always has to be preheated from what i have seen. vegetable oil cannot be used as a straight replacement for biodiesel in an engine, unless of course, that tractor is something specially made for it?

I use WVO in my diesel pickup. But that is because I added a Vegistroke kit a few years ago.

The Vegistroke kit adds a separte fuel system (tank, heat exchanger, pump, filter and electronics). Before I use any WVO, I do extensive filtering. Your oil may look clean, but it has to be filtered down to 5 microns. ANything more and you run the risk of destroying your fuel injectors.

There are many upsides to using WVO, but only if your vehicle is properly prepared.

I have lots of clean WVO, but I will never run it in my tractor.

I would use it up a little at a time mixed with diesel to avoid any (most) chance of problems...
