I am working on the bale tension system for this baler. It is a completely self contained system that is not connected to the tractor hydraulics in any way. It will not hold pressure. It builds up as a bale is formed, but falls off if windrows are light or baling pauses. There are no leaks in the bale tension system.
I plan to rebuild/replace components in this order: pressure relief valve, check valves, hydraulic cylinders. If the first one doesn't fix it, I will move on to the others in the order shown. My question is: How do I purge air from the system once I open it to make these repairs? I strongly suspect that the presence of air in this system will affect its performance, but there is no obvious way to fill the system with oil or purge the air from it.
