Vermeer 7020 steel cover disc mower

I am looking to buy another vermer disc mower. I have found a good looking 7020 with a steel cover. Some people have told me to stay away from thoes because the bars break with the extra weight. Has anyone had any experience with these mowers and can the steel top be replaced with a tarp style cover?

The answer is yes the Vermeer 7020 can be outfited with a Lely 280 style curtain.
