About 4 years ago I came across a pile of 5 Industrial VersaWrenches (31-1) for a dollar each. They were heavy and I figured for a buck even if its junk its worth a try. They have been tool box queens up until 2 weeks ago. I had one in each vehicle and 2 in the outbuilding and I think my dad stole one to try it out. I got a post hole digger from Everything attachments and it had some large nuts and bolts and my big crescents were in the garage so we grabbed the Versa's and went to town. Initially it took us a second to realize it worked directionally but once we got that down I have to tell you these are some of the most amazing tools I have every used for large nuts and bolts. The work sort of like a ratchet basically when you go backwards the jaws slip around the nut or bolt, but when going forwards they grab it nice and tight. The handle is plenty long and had lots of leverage. I would recommend if you can get into them for cheap they are far faster than a crescent and easier to use in some cases. This is a link to see the tools. Woot has them cheap occasionally as well. Anyhow thought I would share as its always fun to get a good tool.
