Most of you have the little handle under the dash, right side, I began to think about a more convenient spot. the first two pics show how I accomplished a workable connection which could be removed if needed.

My sons are always kidding when they see me with a rule, so I try to take extra care. On this little set up , I think I can say 'pretty good job Bill"
The handle/lever assembly turned out to be a different shape than shown in the manual, but it turned out to be an advantage.
Anyway, by now I am already enjoying the extra convenience. Here's the completed changeover complete with labels.

So what was the ...then... ?

About two days after completion I was wandering on the web and accidentally ran into a web site centered around Charlie and Hans from way back in 2001, and I believe it is Hans who has been using a push button on top of his joystick to fully operate the Aux PTO.
Boy, Did that burst my bubble ? not really, I think it is great to find other people who like to make life easier. .....and I always thought it was auto mechanics who would find the "lazy", sorry the idealistic way to accomplish his efforts.
Good show you two genius types.

Actually, Charlie's addition was a 2nd auxillary hydraulic circuit implemented with a solenoid-actuated selector valve. Essentially he has 2 aux PTO's now, one still operated by the right-hand lever, and the 2nd operated by an electic pushbutton. I got the idea from Charlie and added a solenoid-operated selector valve to my PT-1418 (which didn't have an auxillary PTO). Check my site below...there's a hydraulic schematic of how to hook it up...

Bill,

I did practically the same thing for the Aux hyd circuit on my 1845 for easier operation of an AnBo grapple rake and Lackender hoe.

Wonder why PT does not do this as standard? It can't cost more than a few dollars at the manufacturing level.

Great minds think alike..... nice job!

Bill - that is an excellent idea, and a very good job! Congrats!

Where did you get the parts?
