I just got my tractor back from the local dealer last Saturday and was so pleased with the work that was done I wanted to post and share my experience.
I have a 790 and it was ready for a 50 hour service, as I have no shop, or even a concrete slab on my property yet (meaning no good place to work on it) I thought I would take it to the dealer.
While I was there I mentioned the battery problem, acid leaking and doing damage in the battery compartment and told the dealer that I would be willing to pay for a new (better) battery if we could get the effected parts cleaned and repainted.
When I picked up the tractor I was advised that once dissassembled they decided it would be better to replace the effected parts. I was also advised that the battery was replaced under warranty also and that my only charges were for the 50 hour service.
Upon inspection the battery compartment now looks brand new again, (which it should at 50 hours) and I was very pleased. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
It was a pleasure to get such good service and not have to argue with someone to honor their warranty. It really is nice when someone stands behind their product.
