I'm going to be needing to "Expand" my Rear SCV abilities on my 3520 soon and was wondering if this is a viable valve bank for use in such a system..I'm not a fan of the stupid JD Diverter setup, I want "Real" valves...going electric solenoid valves because of the fact I have a cab machine. What I'd like to do is hook this up "permanantly" in my PB circuit....(Dont have PB yet, but will get it when I get my ducks lined up)...

Any reason this valve wouldnt work? Or does anybody out there have a lead to a different valve bank that WOULD work?

Thanks

The main problem I see right off the bat is the 5 GPM max flow, pretty sure your machine is higher than that.

That looks like a really interesting valve. It is a true 4 way so it definatly wants to be in the power beyond loop. It most likely cannot be used as a selector valve . Probably too small to run a motor that would do any real work.
5 ports out the back You will have to invent some implements to use them all. Pricey at $330 and at 28# a bunch for shipping
Oh yeah , add fittings and QD for 5 remotes and then 5 or 6 switches .
But then 5 remotes.
There are 80 in stock, be interesting to see how fast they sell.

Kenny, why would it be a problem if the tractor pump put out more than the valve could handle. OH yeah I see as I typed, The whole loop is restricted , not just the work ports. That would need checking into. Not a good thing

I had another thought maybe the bypass valve allows a higher bypass flow.

I want to say its like 13ish total, and 8ish valve flow...

Is it a problem because of it being in the PB circuit?....See why I ask these things, you guys are GOOD!

I'm not looking for a selector valve, I wanted a "Real Valve" setup...I only mean that because by the time you spend the $$ to do a selector valve setup, your just a stone's throw away from having alot more spools and/or easier addition to the system. At the right price though, I'd entertain it...that Cat valve on Surplus Center seemed promising, but from what I gather, its got a built in flow restriction?

Ultimately, its times like this that make the Cab a little more of a hassle...alot of guys here have some really nice valve setups but I cant/dont want to run oil lines INTO the cab...

The flow restrictor in the CAT valve is removable. I did not remove it and everything works well. 2" cylinders 4" long 6" long 8" long and Class 2 T& T. But is is only in restrict mode because it is a selector valve and normal flow is to tank from the factory 4 way.
There is one guy who is using it for a grapple and is having trouble with slow responce because of what looks like regen.

You need to find out what the flow rate is when no valves are picked and it is in bypass. IF your pump is 8gpm and the valve is restricting to 5gpm then a lot oil will be going over the relief valve and a lot of heat will be generated.
Thats at rated rpm's
Since it is an ARON valve maybe you can find out more from them.

Hmm...Maybe I should just get the CAT Selector setup and go that way then. I just need more then one rear SCV...what I'd ultimatly like is a
"Permanant hookup" for a future Aux Loader line setup, keep my HTL hooked up and use the 3rd set of outlets for "as needed" attachments. In a few weeks my Power Rake should be in operation and I'd like to keep my HTL in place and be able to angle the rake hydraulicly...
After reading the post about the Grapple issues that individual was having, it kinda made me shy away from that valve, but it being on my SCV, if regen is indeed his issue, then I'll have no issue....no regen on the rear SCV...

There are only 3 Cat valves left at the Surplus place .
