Hi all, I'm looking for some ideas. I have a very cool small attachment for front of my kubota L3000 that was homemade. The previous owner/builder had it on a very old ford. It's about 42" wide, 36" deep, 24" tall at back and front has a flat blade welded on, steel grates running perpendicular to the tractor, about 3" apart. He also made an insert the size of bucket that also has grates welding in same fashion but offset from the bucket. That screens out down to 3/4" rocks.
It is quite efficient but would be so much better if it vibrated. I looked up hydraulic vibrators and got sticker shock.
So for my request on ideas. I think I only have two options. I have front remotes but price out of my league. 12v remains, but how for short money?
Only looking for cleaning up some yard piles that are 50/50 rocks and dirt.
I've been thinking about maybe an old starter motor out of something, bolted to screen with off balance weight welded to the gear.
Love to get your input.
Thanks, Nealfris

A lump of flatbar on a hydraulic motor will also vibrate. Small and cheap motor, you need speed not power.

or same concept as above ... cheap hydro or electric motor running an unbalanced pulley attached to the bucket. Saves wear & tear on the motor bushings/bearings & cheaper to replace bearings on the pulley shaft.

I'd like to see a photo.
Have done a lot of sorting here with several different types of rock buckets and found some things that work and others that don't.
Probably the best advice is to not fill the rock bucket very full. Then you can sort by simply tilting the bucket a few times. If the bucket is at a half full or more, sorting the dirt and rocks is very difficult or impossible.

rScotty thanks for input and offer. The attachment is presently in VT and I am not. I will be up there very soon and will post photos. It's a very clever design and I know with simple effective vibration this thing could be a mobile rock star. My land has very rich soil but many rocks. If I could screen into separate piles I could save a ton of money
