Well, my neighbor behind me and I had shared a dead pine tree and I had a couple of pear trees that were not in good shape and I wanted down. The problem, he had a couple of guys that didn't want to do the job because a telephone pole was in the middle of the triple dead pine tree. My pool house was on the other side in the tree's path.
( I think he just didn't want to pay anything)
One day I told my other neighbor on the other side of him (lets call him Dave) that I was going to pay to have the trees just dropped down if the neighbor, lets call him Mitch, would pick up all the mess and stack all the wood for me. Dave said you don't have to call anybody, no problem, he would cut the trees down, used to do it when he was younger.
OK so Dave cut the trees, with my saw. Mitch held my camera and I broke the rope with my Kubota.
Dave went home with a broken 100 ft rope, 23 feet shorter. Mitch gets to pick up all the mess and I put my Kubota back in the garage.
I should have stopped when the tree fell but it didn't look like it was on the ground yet and the plan was not to let it go into another neighbors trees.
I better stick to making Mods.
Now before you all agree I got the better deal, I have done much work with my Kubota for both of them, but today I got a pretty easy deal. Mitch is retired and dreams of cutting wood. Dave just likes to show off some of his skills, neither knows they are here on TBN, well Dave might soon. I offered to replace the hemp rope he said he owned for 40 years, he said he probably would never use it again anyway. He is going to braid it together. I'll still see if I can find one.
