Gee Smilingreen, I hope no ambulance chasers are reading these posts. I think their position would be just the opposite. I can see a lawyer right now with a client on the stand asking "Are you telling me the manufacturer supplied you with no video discussing the proper use of a 20,000 dollar tool?

They always find a way if the pockets are deep!

My JD 4310 came with a video. Very well done I might add considering all the legalities involved.

It shows how to remove and replace the FEL, MMM, etc.

There is no way a video could ever tell folks everything to watch out for. I am for tort reform.

In New Zealand, I've been told most lawsuits end up with placing the blame on an individual's lack of common sense.

A search of pre 1970 civil law decisions would reveal that we used to have a common sense rationale in our judicial system where a plaintiff's case would be dismissed because of his/her own negilence and/or his/her assumption of risk. Populist politicians and activist judges have virtually removed these principles from our judicial lexicon to the point where the only parties left with any accountability, however remote, are the ones with deep pockets or substantial insurance coverage. While such redistribution of wealth opportunities may also contribute to the trickle down theory of economic vitality, it's usually the trial lawyers that I'd like to trickle on.

Im for that!! I would like to see some old retired army and marine veterans as judges, give them the right to not just dismiss the case but charge the plantiff with contempt and double the fine of what they were suing for.

I wonder how that would affect law school enrollment!
