I'm sorry but that is incorrect. ( remember.. we are talking tractors here... re: my replt to post # 7 )
Ford first went to 12v units with the diesel engine.. the diesels were not introduced till the 01 series. 01 series started for model year 58.. Even then. only the diesel's were 12v.. the
gassers were still 6v. .. check in a manual... look in a parts book.. see the listings for the 6v generators.. then start searching for the 12v generators... you will find them on 3 cyl thousand series, and the diesel hundred series ( early industrials as well )
