None!
So I went out on a photo-expedition today in search of a reported Snowy Owl. Good news is that I think I did spot the bird but it was too far away for any photos and it flew out of stalking range before I had a chance. Perhaps another time for that. To make the best of a crummy day here in SW Michigan, I found some other things to shoot including this old truck and tractor. It made for an enjoyable, if not dreary day in the country.

Hey, thanks guys.

Dave, the owl was spotted up north of Berrien Springs, not quite to Eau Claire. It worked out well for me as I had dropped our camper off for winter storage at the Youth Fair up there. Very neat to see, even from a distance.

JDk, I used a Canon 30D w/ 70-200 on these shots.

crbr, not sure that poor old truck would be retrievable, but it sure looked nice sleeping in the weeds.

Hmm. Hadn't heard about that one. Saw one hanging around the airport many years ago. Neat to see.

Did you hear about that burrowing owl over in Chicagoland a couple weeks ago? The birdwatchers kept flushing it out to take pictures. Finally, a hawk came down and ate it right in front of everyone! The guy that originally found it and told everyone said something like.... we are probably responsible for the owl's demise. :p

No, hadn't heard about that. I got myself on an email list for the Berrien County Birders. It's kind of fun to learn what they are seeing, but they are much more fanatical about it than I am.

Thanks Scotty but no, I have no interest in any tractor project at this time, other than being productive with the one that I have. I love looking at old iron like your beautiful machines, but I'm happy to be a spectator and not a participant... at least for now.
