Vintage snowmobile race!

It's time once again for the annual Minnesota Hill Challenge snowmobile race. People, mostly locals, converge on our little corner of the world to show off and race their vintage sleds. Half the challenge with equipment this old, of course, is just getting the sleds to run long enough for their heats. The usual rivalry and camaraderie abound, with everyone meeting in a heated shop for a Minnesota style pot-luck dinner.

I thought some of you would appreciate some pics of these working vintage sleds.

1st sled was a '67 sno-gia (spell check) made in Italy, had a 440 Herth. Then I bought a new Cat 340 puma, 1971 . Next was a friends '73 el'tigra 440 air cooled. Next was a new '80 440 ultra sonic by MotoSki. (Ski Doo owned them by then) Liquid cooled.
