I stopped by Power-Trac this week while I was in the area to pick up some hydraulic filters for my PT-425.
A couple of things I learned:
1. Someone mentioned before on this forum that the Deutz 30hp has been discontinued for emissions reasons. Curious about the future of the PT-1430, I inquired about this. PT is planning to replace the 30hp diesel with a 37hp Kohler gas engine. He said a liquid cooled diesel would require extending the tub.
2. I was told the NAPA 1551 cross reference filter is rated for suction application. He also provided a Fram cross reference. Earlier there were some questions on here about pressure vs suction filters. I feel more comfortable now using my left over NAPA / Wix filter, but will use the PT filters first for peace of mind.
3. Sales are up this year. No surprise to me as I have noticed increased demand for ATVs, campers, bicycles, kayaks, and tractors during COVID.
4. PT still uses the mechanical credit card machine. My card has not been through one of these since I bought some blades there 3 years ago!
