I visited my local dealer, and had a nice talk with the salesman. I looked at things like an MX5100, a 4400, and a similar sized Grand tractor.
As I understand, the Grand series offers up rubber floormats, electronic gauges, and a tilt wheel. It also offers an RPM governor of sorts that keeps engine RPMs up when the tractor starts straining.
I know I've seen forum comments that people love this feature, but can people tell me why it's not an easy thing just to give the tractor more gas with the hand throttle control when the tractor starts to bog? The sales rep suggested that upgrading to a Grand costs around $5000, and that's a lot of money.
On another note, I'm still impressed with the Kubota.
Thanks guys. This forum has been invaluable in learning more about this expensive purchase.
