Visiting the Czech Republic

I went overseas for a week this summer, to bring back my son. He was with my family for 7 weeks.

But my dad called it the first transatlantic help of this century; there were three in last century - two world wars and a cold war.

He needed a privy straightened up on this old property we inherited. Pictures before and after.

That property is bit run down, nobody lives there - but it grows apples and walnuts and plums.

Few kilometers from this place my dad build a cabin in seventies, we stay there for summer and weekends.

I always liked the country in that area.

The cabin is in a small village near river, the river was up due to lot of rain.

That little village is very pretty. Summer apples.

My friend Honza is building a new house. The foundation is few centuries old, he fixed it with concrete and the house is supposed to look like the old original. But the walls are R30 or so - the look is misleading, it will be a modern house.

Honza would be great TBNer. He has cows and a horse and a saw mill and he is just the typical jack of all trades.

Honza owns this imported machine too. It runs on WV Beetle engine. The tiller is bit different, isn't it?

It was very short visit, the family took us to the airport. I look puffy, way too much beer over that week.

Luckily the visit did not do any damage to my son
