Lowes has them on sale for only $117 Does anyone have one?

I was going to put a far more expensive enameled wood stove in the basement/garage as a heat source for the garage only in the house we are starting next month. The main living area upstairs will have it's own fireplace and heat pump.

How long will a full load burn? I would prefer at least 2-4 hours
How hot will it get and how quickly? Faster is better
Do you use the heat exchanger in the stove pipe?
How hard is it to seal the combustion chamber? What did you use?

I know it is Chinese built so the casting quality will not be the same as a Vermont castings stove, but there is a whole lot of difference between $117 and $1500 when it will be used only in the garage,

I've never seen one but, Northern Tool has them with some reviews on it as well.

Bottom line, it'll heat fast and short. Burn alot of wood. Non-airtight stoves all behave the same. If you'll use it for quick heat ups, then switch over to another method, then its perfect. If you need it to run all night, plan on getting up in the night a few times.

Thanks. That's exactly the way I want to use the stove in the basement. Fast and hot. I fully expect the one of the garage doors to be open when it is in use about half the time.
I guess the expensive, really airtight ones get their 6-10 hour burn times from the fact so little air can get in. I want more air, more flames and more heat asap when I go to the workshop first thing in the morning to spend the day.

Using a lot of wood is not a problem. I have far more than I can ever burn. If I run low, I will just cut down another 30' oak tree. This is North Carolina, not Hudson Bay I'm trying to heat.
