I was wondering how these would get around , being two wheel drive. Im thinking of getting one. I can buy one from my dealer who I deal with regularly with for 6500.00.(affordable) Basically I want to know how any of these utility vehicles get around in two wheel drive. It does have locking diff. I dont plan on getting crazy , I just want to tool around the woods, yard ,fields, nice roads. I want to make shure they are not worthless in two wheel peel basically. I mean , am I gona get stuck alot?

$6500 seems awfully high for a 2 wheel drive machine. Cub Cadets website shows a $1700 difference in price between the 2 and 4 wheel drive models.

You think so. He said his price is 6400.00. What do you think Is a good price? This machine is the same as the 4 wheel drive unit, all independent sus.

I'm just thinking that for the price difference, I would go 4WD. Of course it depends on what you want to do with it. If it is like you said, yard, fields, nice roads, then you should be okay. Usually when you have a vehicle like this you tend to push it and see what it will do.

I plan on using it more for work than anything. I know what ya mean about pushing the limit. We had a golf cart the last few years, it got around considerably well for what it was. The (kids) are gona be upset if I dont replace it with something. I just dont want to spend the extra money at this point. Put it this way its a 2x4 or nothing.

One other thing you may want to consider is that if you ever sell it (very likely at some point with most people), you'll take about 90% of potential buyers out of the market for buying yours because it is only 2wd. If you ask any dealer that moves a reasonable number of UTVs how many 2wd units they sell, the answer will be very, very few. Most all dealers in my area don't even stock any. If you want one, you pay several thousand (non-refundable) down up front for an ordered unit.

I plan on using it for buisness, I wont be getting rid of it. It will be a write off. Plus even if sometime down the road i do plan on getting a 4x4 i would keep it. There has been alot of 2x4 sold aS gators or what have you, and they seem to bring a good penney used. Like i said my biggest concern is its ability to get around in 2 wheel drive. This unit is the nicest 2x4 I have seen on the market by cub cadet ,john deer type.ie ifs. Thanks for the input!

Cool. My only other suggestion would be that you should be able to drive a better bargain on the price then. I wouldn't let the dealer know that it fits your needs and that you don't plan on ever selling. He is very aware that 2wd units move very slowly now. It's simply the market trend now. By letting him know that you are willing to buy something that will be hard to sell in the future, I'd bet you can get quite a bit better of a deal on it. Good luck!
