VP Racing Fuel Cans...any issues?

Hello...I've been using high-end "fire rated Approved" 5 gallon metal cans with the built-in metal flex-hose for filling tractor and mowers. BUT they are heavy (and getting heaver) to hold and empty sooo slow! I moved to plastic "VP Racing" cans/bottles...they have a huge opening and empty in less than 30 seconds! It's so nice not to be standing there with heavy 5 gallons holding at head-level forever until its empty. Anyone see any issues with this?

Nope. I went to the JEGS fast cans (Google). Way worth the money in terms off PIA factor. I'm getting a 50G tank in the bed of my truck shortly so Ill stop messing with cans for diesel altogether.

I use them all the time. Especially useful if you know the machine will take all five gallons. I cut the hose a little shorter for my use. Only issue would be if you were transporting these jugs commercially as they are not OSHA or DOT approved,

They sell them as water jugs here in California as they are not fuel approved.

I have two of the Jegs/Summit plastic containers to carry in the back of my truck when transporting the tractor elsewhere. I store diesel and gasoline in the metal Eagle and Justrite (preferred OEM) safety cans.

I bought one for gas, will get a few for diesel. Love them!

I've been stopped from filling cans with gas unless marked approved for gasoline...

Maybe it is just a California thing?

I learned long ago what starts in California doesn't stay here...

Until then I am super careful with my old style fuel containers.
