I have a few prices on grapples....

RBG-60 $2650 + tax it is in stock ... 567 lbs
RBG2-54 $1920 + freight ($200.00) and tax ... 339 lbs

This is going on a TC40 any thoughts on prices or weight of the grapples on this tractor?

Thanx Jeff

The prices sound about right. I purchased a WR Long RBG2-48 last year and it ran around 1900 total delivered including tax. I know steel prices have gone up since then as well as trucking costs because of fuel prices. I have been very happy with my grapple and I love the clamshell design for grabbing things.

I think lighter is better within reason. I would get the lighter RBG2 to save on weight (and also money). You will loose less FEL lift capacity that way. I don't think any compact tractor is going to tear either grapple up.

i bought the 54 for my Mahindra 3215.i don't recall what i paid because i ordered it with the tractor.it works excellent for our tree service and i couldn't imagine living without it now.

I have a Millonzi 48" on mine can't imagine needing a bigger one on a CUT. Not sure what they're going for these days, but probably half of what you were quoted on the bigger models.

You want the RBG2 unit for your tractor. the other is a heafty mother that will be to much for the loader.
My LD60" illonzi grapple should be here tomorrow.
Price for the grapple is $1554, adapter for the kabota loader $120, + shipping comes to $1872.

I picked up my LD60 Millonzi grapple last week. The total price was $1,769 for grapple, JD adapter and shipping to north Georgia. I don't have it plumbed yet, but it is on the FEL, and yes, it is heavy. My tractor is a JD 4320.

Those prices sound correct, I bought the RBG2-60 about 6 months ago and it was about the price you listed for the 54.

In my limited experience I am very happy with the 60" and would not want anything smaller or larger. Larger would make it difficult to manuver in tight areas and smaller it would be impossible to see when you need to pick up items with precision. IMHO if the 60" garpple had two grapple arms instead of just one it would be perfect.

I was trying to measure what I would need to plumb the grapple and I came up with two 19' lines. Thats on a Kubota MX5000 going to a rear remote that I just had installed. I have not seen the couplers on the grapple so I will have to wait to see what I need for the job. Lets us know what you think of the unit when you get it operational.

WR did just have a price increase.
We received our updated price list approx 3 weeks ago.
All of our grapple suppliers have raised their prices in the last month or so.
I agree with the RBG2 also.
These grapples are almost over-built for tractor use.
You'd tweak the loader before hurting the grapple.

A hose kit comes in a separate box with two 1/4" by I think 48" hoses that connect to the T fitting from the grapple. The hoses have a JIC fitting on the grapple end and 3/8" NPT on the other end. I ordered all my plumbing stuff from Discount Hydraulic a couple of days ago. I hope I got everything right! My lines to a rear remote measured out to be 17' and DH is attaching the braided fittings on each end for an additional charge of $12 per hose. I think I will have about $150 in material from DH, plus another $25 for the male half of the QD's at the rear of the tractor that I had to buy elsewhere. I'm going with 1/4" hose all the way from grapple to rear remote.

I'll let you know how everything works out. I'm hoping my hoses, fittings and QD's show up sometime next week. I tried to find everything local, but that turned out to be impossible with my work schedule and not being able to find everything nearby at one place.
