I am in the process of a winter/spring project to fix up and paint an old wagon. I am looking for recommendations on the type of spray gun to get and any other tips or hints. I am not looking to spend tons on a gun capable of autobody painting but would like to end up with a nice finish on the metal and wood. I have a shop large enough to keep it inside to paint and even create a temporary paint booth with the painters plastic to minimize dust.

Thanks for the help

Todd

Any tips on the type of gun or paint you used on the metal or any tricks you figured out to make it faster or better?

Harbour Freight Low Pressure High Volumn (HVLP) (cup on top) guns are a bargain. Easy to break down to clean and cheap enough to have several on hand. If you play with the flow and air it will do a descent job on an auto as well. Many videos on youtube about these guns on how to adjust ans set them up. Also it doesn't take a monster compressor to use them with.
