When anyone gets out of my wagon from the back the front will pop up. What is the correct teminology for the part I'm looking for? I called it a stationary bar. Not the right word and couldn't seem to get my point across at the dealer. I have two choices I guess. Buy a drawbar with a L shape for $50.00 or get this part. Any input is greatly apprecieated. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I use the 3 point hitch arms because of the clearance and easy adjustment on the go.

I'm guessing that you have the wagon hitched to a drawbar attached to your draft arms rather than to the swinging drawbar, right? And as there's no down pressure on the draft arms, they raise up when the back of the trailer gets heavier as someone puts their weight on it to exit..

You could hitch the trailer to the swinging drawbar, which is where it really should be. Or you could fabricate a brace to run from the top link attachment point on the tractor down to the drawbar that runs between the draft arms.

If there is a commercial part that does this I don't know what it's called.

I don't mean to nit-pick, but you probably have a 'trailer', as a wagon has 4 wheels and would not tip up....

The old Ford N's had the stablizer bars you are talking about, but it won't be the regular stablizer bars you find now.

I'm not sure I understand the Northern bars the other pesron posted - looks more like a flexable top-link bar, but they talk about chains, and the picture is a bar, so I'm left with questions.

The problem is, the only way to do this is to put a stablizer on that holds your 3-point solid, so it can't go up (or down). Then you might as well just hook up to the real drawbar.

You could chain or strap your 3-point drawbar to your swinging drawbar so it can't rise too much, but still lets you raise & lower it some.
