Tractor
BX2350
I can't freakin believe this day has finally come.

I registered here to find out about buying a BX2200 in the spring... Found out it was upgraded to the BX2230, and the BX2350 just came out.

Although there have been a few issues posted about cracked fenders and such, I still believe this tractor is the best of those available.(Price didn't hurt either :) ) Not to mention when Kubota announced 0 for 36 mo. like I had hoped, I listed the 42" simplicity in the paper, bought a 16' car hauler to replace my 10' x 60" custom trailer I built to haul my ATV/Simplicity tractor and started getting serious about actually pulling the trigger.

Welp, the trigger has been pullled and I leave in the morning to pick it up...

Won't get home till after 7 p.m. on Wed. eve but I'll be sure to post a pic of the new family member. (Before it gets dusty from mowing the lawn at night) :)...

Thanks to everyone for their advice and replying to my posts, which I know most of you must have done countless other times.....

Hopefully we'll have a smooth 750 mile round trip run tomorrow..

See yall,,,

Okay,,

800 Mile round trip cost me about $150.00 (found Fuel in MO for 2.47, Gas for 2.07) including eating 2 meals on the road.. :)

Arrived on time to find the dealer deliver man waiting patiently....

When I first saw the Tractor I was a bit displeased as it looked as though the plastic was faded on the top... a quick rub with a wet finger revealed dust and perhaps some sun fade. (Used some Gel gloss when I got home and it shines beautifully)

I signed the necessary documents, loaded it on my trailer and they helped to secure it appropriately with my chain and binders.

I started looking it over quite detailed and noticed a scratch on the deck (I know it will get more of them...) and the cover that hides the battery wasn't fitting well. I snapped some pictures while the guy was there and wanted the battery cover to fit better. We messed with it for about 5 minutes and I discovered one of the PLASTIC tabs were broken and causing some of the issues. So I showed the delivery guy so I could prove it was that way and snapped a few more pics with him trying to readjust the cover...

I also had them bring all the supplies for the 50 hr. service so I could do it myself.

He went through the basics and we went on our merry way. Once down the road I called the saleman, explained that we made the exchange and I was already on my way home. I then told him of the cover problem and he said to ship it to him and he would ship me a replacement. ( It never dawned on me until talking with him, that I should have given it to the delivery guy and just had them send me a replacement, but oh well.)

Nonetheless, I was anxious to get home and get unloaded. Neighbor who owns a BX220 came over and checked it out.. We quickly got some wax/polish and rubbed down the plastic and it shines like it just came out of the box. I took off the loader, (What a breeze) turned on the headlights, and made a few passes around the yard. She works great...

I have a few questions for the other 2350 / 1850 owners, but don't have time (at work) to type them out.. but tonight I'll be sure to post something after I finish mowing my yard...

Attached are a few shots of the unit, and the unfortunate battery cover....

Regards,,,

Looks awesome! You are going to love it. So, what projects have you done or are you planning in the near future???? You will be amazed at what you can do, and even more amazed that you lived so long without it!! haha

I'm sure you are going to love the BX...

One thing I would suggest is looking into changing the turnbuckles on the 3PH into the better setup as used on the larger B series. There are a number of posts on this modification in the archives.

Enjoy the new tractor, and please do let us know how different you find this one from the old simplicity...:)

I'll take the advise on the turnbuckles... Thanks..

I couldn't wait to use it, so I took off a half day :) Mowed the grass, which took less than half the time of my 42" simplicity... and I might add, cuts very nice...

Mounted the loader and popped out 5 stumps from bushes between the neighbor and me.. He was very happy..

Leveled dirt behind my shed with the bucket and layed a 12 x 8 patio from 14" x 6.5" x 4" concrete blocks I had. This will be covered by a leanto and protect my mow-n-vac, roller, and any 3pt's that I decide to make / purchase...

So far I love it... It doesn't have as much bucket tilt strength as I thought it would, but there are techniques to get around that.... Like tilt the bucket first then drop the loader to lift the front wheels...

I'm in the process of making a 2" hitch receiver for my 3pt, trying to purchase a pulverizer, box blade, rear blade and tiller...

Then, going to flatten out the rest of the back yard and get to seeding...

If we decide to add on to the house, this baby is going to be the cat's meow for cleaning up the mess....

Again, thanks for all the suggestions and advise... I hope to be equally valuable to other newbies as I gain more experience....
