I started out thinking compact, but now I'm leaning towards about 45HP. The setup you suggest sounds great. Spend it all, I plan on having this tractor a long, long time.

My neighbor has a 55HP blue tractor. He brings his tractor over /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif when we need something special done, like grading when we got fresh stone. The #1 thing he said when we started talking tractors was "power steering".

I was looking at the Mahindra website last night and saw how some models have big front tires. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I'll have to see what that's about....more stability maybe?

I'll have to go dealer shopping now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Thanks for your help.

Just a thought, but for pawing around in the woods, bigger isnt always better. For your needs as stated, unless you are going to do a lot more than you just stated, 27-40 hp would be plenty.

If you are looking Mahindra, I just saw a dealer on 77 north of Ripley last weekend. Dont remember how far north, but he was just off the highway. Anyhoo, the 3510 or 4110 will do you fine. I will tell you that the 3510 is plenty big to work in the woods, if you are trying to save trees. If you dont care, then bigger is fine.
