Walvoil - Backhoe Valve

I am working on hydraulic plumbing for a 3pt bachoe. I am using a Walvoil 6 spool 16GPM backhoe valve i purchased from Surplus Center.

The supply/return ports are the same size and mounted above each other; so.....which is supply and which is the return?

Are there any letters cast into the end cap near the ports? P= pressure. R= return. T =tank for instance.

Once i got home, I pulled the serial number off and looked up the part on Walvoil's website. Supply is the bottom and the return is the top. Below is the cut sheet that shorts the port identification....hopefully this helps someone else out.

Curious how you are plumbing to the rest of the tractor? Weather power beyond should be a consideration?

Usually a 3PH backhoe works off remotes.
Sub-frame backhoes that dont need the 3PH operational...get around needing a PB because the 3PH dont need to be operation....and with hoe removed hoses are coupled back together and not running through the valve.

Try that now....i fixed the link. Im running this off the the rear remotes.....this is the end of the hydraulic loop.

Pressure comes from the pump... then to

1) FEL Valve, through the Power Beyond to
2) Remote Valve, through Power Beyond
3) Three Point Valve

Ok. Running off remotes is fine. Since you are returning through remotes and the remotes have PB to feed 3PH.

Just didnt want you trying to attach like a subframe (like if you didnt have remotes)....Because those dont use PB....since 3ph cannot be used at the same time with a subframe....there is no risk of pressurizing tank port. But with a heavy 3PH hoe....you absolutely DO NOT want to feed your 3PH off the T port on the backhoe valve.

I do appreciate the double checking though....i have a lot to learn still, and i like when my tractor is working!

I added the remotes over the winter to run a log splitter. Hopefully the 4025 has enough GPM to run this backhoe, 8.29 GPM is the total output of the pump.
