this TN has cat 1 and 2 3pt. so it has 2 different size balls that you need for different equiptment. it's alot handier to have all 4 with you at all times,so I made this simple angle iron bracket to hold 2 balls, sleeve for the top link, and an extra pin.

Tractorman71, that's a nice, simple solution to keeping up with your hitch balls, pins, and bushings. The way you rounded the corners and de-burred that angle iron makes it safer as well as handy. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm not sure what two sizes of hitch balls has to do with the category 1 and 2 hitch. Do you mean that the bushing is for that and the hitch balls are for your swinging drawbar? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

cat 1 has 7/8" lower pins and 3/4" toplink pin. cat 2 has 1 1/8" lower pins and 1" toplink pin.on this TN you can change the balls in the lift arms of the 3pt,and insert(or remove) the sleeve in the top link to use cat 1 or 2 equiptment.

looks like a nice setup, my 3pt bushings are all just rolling around in the toolbox of my ford 8000 but i think now maybe i will find a place to put a simular setup, another thing i been meaning to do one of these days is make a braket to hold the 11 hole drawbar across the side of the framerail/engine cover along the side of the engine, tired of it rolling around on the floor but whenever i take it out i find i need it

You gotta keep us CUT guys on the "straight and narrow" sometimes. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I think I had heard that about TNs before, but I had forgotten that the hitch balls could be changed out. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I am not quite sure how to say this but I lost both my balls!!! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I wish I would have had that setup on my TN it would have saved my balls

Now I only use the CAT 2 for everything
