I purchased a backhoe attachment and have a friend that is going to build me a subframe mount for it. I was hoping that someone would share some pictures of their subframe on a ford 1620 or any ford to help me figure out where to put the mounts.

Here's a link to the manual with drawings if the subframe. Good luck. I'm happy you aren't going the 3point hitch route.

Thank you for the help. Since posting the thread I have downloaded the link that you sent, purchased the steel and have been trying to figure out how to tap into the tractors hydraulics. I finally have a day off and I am going to the dealer to see if they can tell me how it is supposed to be done.

Found a couple photos from my old 1520 that might help you out.

Hey B hive,
I added a Woods subframe hoe to my 1720 last year.
The hydro set up was made by a dealer. It consisted of a short hose with a male threaded end and a male QC on the other end along with a Female QC . The hose replaces the steel line from pump to loader valve.
It takes power from the 4 way loader valve through the hoe's system and dumps the oil back to the pump return.
The threaded end goes into the loader valve. A QC fitting is screwed into the return port where the other end of the steel line ended. Plug the male QC on the hose to the female on pump return and the FEL operates as normal, the hose at this point has relaced the steel line.
The hose end QC match the ones on the backhoes hoses. Back into the hoe, shut the tractor down. Uncouple the tractors new assembly QC ends and plug the backhoes ones into them. The Hydro oil is now deverted to the backhoe.
I had a little trouble understanding the process initially but it is really simple.
I will try to upload a pic for you later but dialup takes forever. PM me!

The photos are very helpful. We made brackets to bolt into the holes for the mid- mount mower already but it might be stronger going further forward to where the FEL is mounted.
As for the hydraulics, I priced a kit at the dealer and it came to $860. It is probably the right way to go but my wallet says no.
The way you explained the hydraulics makes sense. Just to make sure the loader works when the backhoe is hooked up?
It sounds like electric, completing the circuit through the backhoe.
I will read and share with my friend that is helping.
If you could send pics of what the dealer did that would be great.
I look at the pictures before I read the directions : )

Thanks

I will take pictures today as the backhoe went on yesterday. I had to finish some wood hauling before I mounted the hoe.
$800 for hoses and the bracket is way to much.
Yes the FEL works with the backhoe circut. The 3pth will not, but you wont need it anyway.

B Rive,

The black hydrulic hose is the connection to backhoe and it's currently attached to the backhoe circuit. Hose replaces the steel hydo line that went from pump block on the tractor to the loader control. The hose on the right originates from loader control and has a male connection on it.
When backhoe is removed (normal operation), the male connection plugs into the female one on the pump block. To power the BH simply uncouple the hose and attach the male and female ones from the BH. Really easy really simple and the loader works normaly.
The hose install requires removing the loader control completely to get at the appropriate steel line.

Hope this helps!
