I'm interested in camo-ing the mini truck I just purchased. Has anyone had any experience with the vinyl kits available? I probably would need the kit for a "small truck" (most are 120 sq ft of material) to get this whole thing covered. Anyone know where to get the best pricing? Most kits I found were around $450.00. Any feedback would be appreciated...Scozz

no need to post pictures i was on my way home from a dr apointment yesterday and i seen a truck about 3 cars up ahead of me pulling a trailer and it had some thing on it that looked like it was covered with mud and looked to be some sort of utv. well me being a utv freak i caught up to it and man this thing was one of them mini trucks with the camo clad and it looked to have had some 26'' or 27'' 589's or a of brand i would say they were a off prand because the tread was kinda weird but it looked just like 589's just a little diferent. it could have been some kenda executioners.it did seem to have a lift kit on it and when the light turned green horns were blowin because the diehard utv guys were starin.lol it was nice. it made me want one real bad not enough to give up my hpx but it made me want one.the possibilities were runnin through my head at that red light and i bet all the other guy too were thinkin the same thing.

saw four camo mini trucks in tuscaloosa alabama at an off road store next to woods and waters sporting goods store. i was on my way to a bird hunt west of tuscaloosa and stoped at w&w for some shells. spotted the mini trucks and had to have a look. they had been completely covered with a sprayed on bed liner then painted camo.had a winch on the front and itp's with mud lite radials on them. looked pretty nice but were priced at 8300.00.odometer was digital so i don't know mileage.thought these trucks were in the 3000 dollar range without the ad ons. still looked good though. i wonder how atv tires would hold up on the road?

From several importers, it's my understanding that you cannot drive these on the road in the U.S. per the EPA. Also, they have to be modified as to where you cannot use any gear that will allow them to run over 25 mph before they can be imported. They come with all the requirements to be licensed for road use in Japan, but not in the U.S. I'm told from direct importers that they simply cannot be made road legal in the U.S. I tend to believe them because they want to sell me several minitrucks as I requested, but the ability to make them road legal was one of my questions. As much as they wanted to tell me that they could be modified to be road legal, they had to tell me that they cannot be made legal to drive on any U.S. road.

I thought you could get up to 55 in one of these things ??

But yeah from what I've heard they aren't road legal. If you are just using it for farm purposes like a tractor you can of course drive it on the road (depending on the laws in your state) but from my experience with 489s on the gator it really isn't a problem. At least for the 1/2 mile or so I drive a day on the road it hasn't seemed to of done any significant wear on the tires. Now if indeed you can go 55 mph I would worry about the tires falling apart or something since they're meant for low speeds.

are there ANY 4 wheelers out there that wont exceed 45 now? heck even my old 450 foreman would do 55. check highlifter.com for radial outlaws. that might be a decent compromise for radials, and awesome off road grip. sorry for the hijack.
