I have tried in vain to establish good extra lighting on my Kubota B7800. I have seen what was here and tried some creativity of my own only to have it look bad, jiggle too much, or both. I think I have a cool solution which utilizes the empty hole in the ROPS; thereby not hitting any sensitive warranty issues. The result is (wiring harnesses yet to come) stable, helpful and aesthetically pleasing. I drilled out the exisiting holes of a heavy-duty corner bracket with a 9/16ths drill. The rest is easy as cake. Here are some pics...

The light are actually just a bit wider than the bucket, so the bucket won't block the view. Here's more detail if you blow it up.

Your lights look neat and I'm sure they do a good job for you. Unfortunately around here they wouldn't last very long. The trees around here tend to knock off anything that's outside of the ROPS.

How did you do the wiring - just hook it up to the loose wires in the harness at the back of the seat? Or did you run another wire from the terminal block.

Also did you upgrade the alternator? I'd bought my lights but it got too cold up here to work on them.

I like your solution. There will be a copy here soon.

Great looking job ! That's a good design and it should serve you well. Carry on!
Cheers!

PineRidge is right about those trees. I was in my woods Sunday and a branch reached right over the fender and broken a lens and blew the bulb.

Ah! That's the beauty of the ROPS holes. Just by removing the 9/16ths pin from the ROPS hole, one can change it to be inside the ROPS or even the extra hole when the ROPS is down.
I chose to keep them outside because the light is not blocked by the FEL. I think that in the spring, I will change it to inside the ROPS bar.
I took the lazy-man's approach and spliced the lights into the tail lights (which only come on if the headlights are illuminated.
I do have the alternator upgrade. I knew (being literally blind in one eye and can't see out t'other) that I would need additional light to be safe, secure, happy, and... oh, yeah... be able to tractor by moonlight!
Thank you for your compliments -- they mean a lot coming from you guys.

Looks good.. what brand lights are you using?

Nice setup, very tidy /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I had mounted mine to the pre drilled holes in my Case ROPS but my mad bomber winter hat blocks some of the light. Trying to come up with a hinged setup that will allow me to keep them inboard and swing them out for winter night use. Still thinking /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Geez, I am not really sure what the brand name is. They are plentiful at the local TSC. Come spot, trapezoid, and flood. Not sold on trapezoid, but too early to change yet.
