Has anyone added warning lights to your tractors? (strobes/lightbars/beacons) I've seen some people with them before and I'm looking for ideas. Pictures are always welcome.

4shorts has strobes on his tractor. He has a rotary light on top of the cab, strobes mounted on his loader arms facing sideways, and flashing lights mounted on the rear of his snowblower. Sweet setup. His workmanship is 1st class, always. I too am interested in getting some type of "clear" strobes vs. amber. The school buses here in Harford county Maryland have a clear strobe on the roof that flashes all the time. You can really see them for quite a distance, especially in foggy weather. I'm thinking "clear" might be a good choice while pushing snow. Having googled strobe lights they are quite pricey for good ones.

Will you be using your tractor on or near any public roads? If so check your local DOT regulations. some areas require the use of amber lights, or beacons on tractors.
Just a thought.

myself I use an LED strobe.

I'm just kinda getting an idea. I will be using at the side of a public road, but on private property.

Still might not hurt to comply with DOT.

here's another thought, most people will recognize amber lights as caution/warning lights.

An other consideration, the back scatter of a flashing light from snow, rain and fog may be distracting to you or drivers around you, while a steady light will be less objectionable.

Well annoying may be more like it, however, I never had a problem with it last winter. Besides they're supposed to attact attention, thats the whole idea. You want to be able to be seen. And seen from all directions.Safety is the name of the game.

just think about those DOT plows, with their flashing lights, you can see them coming from a mile away, and you know to get out of the way.

A steady light like your headlights or rear work light can only be seen from limited angles, and don't draw that much attention, and can be difficult to see through snow or fog,and sometimes not until its too late.

I added these to my ROPS years ago since my toolbox covers my warning sign bracket. They are attached to the angle iron frame of my canopy, not the ROPS itself. They have great visibility from front or rear and an oncoming vehicle can see these before they can see the tractor when coming over a hill. They are hooked to my 4-way flashers - my fender lights are yellow too and all 4 flashing at the rear is pretty eye-catching. The wires going up the ROPS frame on the left are in poly wire looming and then just cable ties holding that. Will have black ties the next time I have to replace them and you won't even see it all then. The original fender mounted warning lights were on the fenders just in front of the ROPS uprights - you couldn't see them at all from the rear and not very well from the front - I keep my FEL on at all times. Knock on wood, I've never damaged one of the lights and do alot in the woods etc. My canopy kinda keeps branches angled downward more often than not and they don't seem to hit the lights much at all.
