I bought a CT335HST in May 2010 and have about 170 hours on it. I had a hydraulic fluid leak somewhere up front, either on one of the FEL lines or on the front wheel knuckle (king pin ?? not sure what it is called).
Called dealer he said that yes it was under warranty. They came and took it to the shop and replaced one of the FEL lines. They said the connection on the line where the metal coupler and the hose meet was not crimpted correctly...no problem.
Got tractor back, have used it about a week and the seal around the top of that knuckle is still wet with fluid. It is not leaking from the hose and dripping down. I spoke with the dealer again and he wants a picture of it wet so he can see exactly where so they can fix it. Ok, still no problem.
BUT, as we were on the phone, he tells me that the line that they had just replaced was NOT under warranty because the FEL warranty is only one year. He did not have a dollar amount for what I owed yet but would get back to me. He said the line itself was around $45 plus labor. That does not make me happy after they told me it was under warranty. I like my dealer, they have always been good to me, but I don't like this.
Bottom line, be careful what your sending it back to the dealer for. From what I understand, FEL-one year, tractor-two years, drivetrain-three years.
