I had the same problem with my car, a Mercedes. The dealership wouldn't schedule the appointment to do the repair no matter how many times I called. I got annoyed and called the owner of the dealership knowing that he would do something about this situation. I have known him for about 20 years at this time. He also said that he would have someone call, but that call never came. I took it to another dealership and they did the repair in a day. I asked them why the other dealership wouldn't ever make the appointment. He told me that they didn't have the tools or the knowledge to work on this particular problem, because very few of the MB cars came equipped with this option. This dealership just knew how to deal with problems and keep a customer. The original dealer has lost me as a customer as a result of poor service. A simple explanation that they didn't have the knowledge or tools to do the repair would have kept me a customer for a long time into the future. Being honest is a good policy, but many times a dealership, whether tractor or car, just can't admit the they can't do a particular phase of a repair. This is unfortunate, but a true fact....
